Meet Stacey
My name is Stacey, I am a New London, Connecticut native. I had my two children in Macon, Georgia while getting my Masters in Family Services at Mercer University’s School of Medicine. In the Late 90’s, I relocated myself and my children to the Bay Area, California. I have been working in higher education for 32 years and counting.
My aspiration for doula services started with my own birthing experiences. My first pregnancy included complications that resulted in me being bedridden for the remainder of my pregnancy. My second pregnancy was a traditional medical birth with observers which resulted in a c-section. Having these experiences and educating myself about the world of doula services and the history of its care, has inspired me to be present physically and emotionally for expecting parents and their babies.
Meet Tia
Hi there! My name is Tia. I am currently working as a Paraeducator in the school district that I was raised in. I work in grades Pre-K to Post secondary, from ages 2 - 18+. I received my Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Psychology at Mills College in Oakland, California. I was raised in my godmother’s daycare, helping changing diapers pretty much since I was in diapers. Childcare has been an important aspect in my life and will always be.
I am very excited to explore more into the world of being a Doula and to advocate for others in their birthing experiences. As an empath, I stride to take care and to be emotionally and physically there for others. These innate qualities about me that has been passed down generationally, will apply greatly in me and my mothers doula business. I am so excited to be able to work with such beautiful families and their new additions.
